What makes a habit stick? A common saying is that it takes a new behavior eight times of practice to become a habit – but it actually takes two months (sixty-six times to be exact). Individual Cognitive Behavioral Coaching is a technique that ensures those restricted by limiting beliefs reach their goals. The first session – a Deep Dive – is the first stop in actual change. We will dive into what may be holding you back, what thoughts need to change, and what goals you have to reach. Each subsequent session after the Deep Dive will be an hour long, focusing on the present as a way to change the future. Here is a list of common coaching situations: 1. Emotional Intelligence 2. Behavior Modifications 3. Stress Management 4. Communication 5. And more! Different than Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we do not emphasize the past – but provide solution-oriented sessions for moving forward. We do not heal emotions (though, this could happen indirectly), instead we explore tools to allow stability and management in desired targeted situations. We do not explore current situations in great detail to try to understand but take a “powerful questioning” approach to discover the desired outcome of a tough situation.
